Self Guided Online Driver's Ed - FAQ
While EDI's process from start to finish is smooth and easy to understand, there may be some questions along the way. Please see information below.

I enrolled in the Online Driver's Ed, How do I get started?
Once your enrollment is complete, you will automatically receive an email to the address you used when signing up for driver's education.
This email will include the 4 step process to getting your course started. Follow the directions exactly as they are, do this with your Teen and you won't have any problems.
My Teen has started the Course - but I'm not getting email reminders of their progress.
The weekly progress reminders are sent to the email address used when signing up for the online course - if you did not follow the instructions (using parent's email), the information is going to your teen's email account. This can be changed in your profile settings next time they log in.

We are enrolled in the online course; but cannot get logged back in.
The most common issue, student is trying to log into their Driver's Ed account, instead of their Online Course. Click here to access your online course - then enter your email and password. Remember, your driver's ed account is only for scheduling driving lessons once permitted.
2nd common issue, not remembering your log in information. As stated in the online course email, "write down your log in information to make sure it's not forgotten as we have to manually reset due to the security of the platform we use". If you have forgotten your password, email adam@edi-mn.com your full name, the email log in ID and a screen shot showing the website you are trying to log into.
3rd issue, could be your 90 days has expired - Remember your 90 days begins the day you enrolled in driver's education, not the day you started the course. You can pay for your extension by clicking here. Your account will be updated within 24 hours.
My Teen has completed the course, but we don't know what to do next.
Parents are asked to watch the final 1-hour of the course with their teen so they understand the next steps.
If the Online Course was completed correctly, an email automatically goes out to the log in email. If you set this up using your Teen's email, they recieved the information. If you used a parent's email, and don't see it, please check your SPAM folder. This will provide all the information needed to take the permit exam and schedule your mandatory meeting.
If you cannot find this email, you'll need to confirm they actually completed the course by logging back in and/or looking for the completion certificate that was emailed.

If you have any questions regarding the Online Course that are not answered here, please do not reach out to your school. I run the Online Course and can help you get any issue sorted out.
